Meet the Agoura Hills Team Behind Vance Gate Repair Agoura Hills
We’re a small crew by design. Six technicians, one service coordinator, and Adrian Vance, the owner, who still takes calls when the schedule gets tight. What unites us isn’t a mission statement on a wall. It’s a habit: write the price down before touching a tool, photograph what we found, and leave a record the homeowner can actually read. Every person on this page has been background-checked, runs under the same Haven Standard, and answers to the same rule. When you call Vance Gate Repair in Agoura Hills, one of us picks up. No call center, no dispatch queue, no transfer to someone reading from a script.
Our People
Adrian Vance, Owner & Founder
Adrian started this company in 2014 after years of commercial access-control work, the kind of job where a wiring diagram has to be accurate because a failed gate at a loading dock means someone gets fired. That background is why every residential job here leaves with commercial-grade documentation. He still rides along on complex automation calls in Agoura Hills when the problem involves a motor that three other companies gave up on. Dry observation from a recent job: “Motor was original to a decade nobody misses.” He’s been known to call a customer at 11 p.m. to say he found the part and is on his way. That’s not a policy. That’s just Adrian.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with Vance Gate Repair for seven years, longer than anyone except Adrian. He specialized in slide-gate track systems and has rebuilt more rollers and carriages than he can count, usually on steel gates that weigh over 1,400 pounds. He holds certifications on LiftMaster and FAAC automation platforms, and he’s the one we send when a gate is binding and the owner has been told by two other companies that it needs a full replacement. Marcus generally finds the binding point in under an hour. He keeps a photo album on his phone of the weirdest things people have tied to gates with bungee cords. Some photos are not suitable for conversation.
Dana R., Senior Installer & Welder
Dana runs our welding and fabrication work, which in Agoura Hills means a lot of gates clipped by delivery trucks and gates that were installed before the developer graded the driveway. She’s a certified MIG and TIG welder and handles everything from cracked hinge plates to completely rebuilt gate frames. She also leads new gate installations, which includes the part most people don’t think about: making sure the gate swings true on the hinges before the motor ever gets mounted. Dana’s rule is that an automation system cannot compensate for a badly hung gate. She once fixed a gate post that had shifted three inches after a storm and left the homeowner a laser-leveled photo showing the new alignment. That photo hangs in our office.
Sam P., Service Coordinator
Sam is the voice you’ll most likely hear when you call. He’s been with us since 2019 and knows the job history of every customer in the Agoura Hills area, not because he memorized a database but because he writes notes after every call and reads them before every follow-up. Sam schedules the same technician for repeat visits when possible, because he believes a tech who knows the gate is faster than a tech who’s reading a work order for the first time. He also sends the technician name and photo before arrival, always. Outside of Vance, Sam is the person in the office who labels everything with a label maker. The label maker has a label. We’ve accepted this.
One Standard, Every Job

Every person on this page operates under the same three rules, and those rules are not suggestions. First, the written price before any work begins. You get a flat number in writing, and that number does not change when the job is finished. Second, a documented photo record on every visit: what we found, what we adjusted, what we replaced, left with you and filed in our records. Third, the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If a repair is not right within one year, we make it right, no argument and no additional charge. These rules apply whether the job is a broken gate hinge in Old Agoura or a full access-control retrofit near the civic center. Same crew, same standard, same paperwork. Call (424) 388-2906 and one of the people named above will answer.
